ClaviPrompt Privacy Policy

At Clavis, we believe your privacy is fundamental. We designed Clavis from the ground up to be a completely private, offline-first teleprompter app that puts you in full control of your data.

1. Information We Collect

Clavis collects no personal data whatsoever. The app is 100% offline and makes zero network requests at any time. The only HTTP reference in the app is the standard Apple DTD URL required in the Info.plist file — this is not an active network call and does not transmit any data. We do not collect:

Personal information
Device identifiers
Usage analytics
Location data
Any telemetry or crash reports

All scripts, settings, and content you create remain entirely on your device.

2. How We Use Your Data

Any content you create (scripts, settings, etc.) is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s UserDefaults and the local filesystem. This data is used only to provide the core functionality of the teleprompter: Displaying your scripts while recording Saving your recorded videos to your device’s Photo Library (with your explicit permission) Nothing is sent to us or any third party.

3. Permissions

Clavis requests the following permissions only for core features:

Camera — For live preview and video recording
Microphone — For audio recording with your videos
Photo Library (Add Only) — To save the videos you record

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device Settings. The app will not function for recording without them.

4. Data Security

Your data never leaves your device. We use Apple’s secure, encrypted local storage mechanisms. Because Clavis operates completely offline with no servers, no accounts, and no third-party services, your content is as secure as the device it’s stored on.

5. No Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to any third parties. There are no analytics tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies of any kind in Clavis.

6. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

You can delete all scripts and settings from within the app
You can delete recorded videos from your Photo Library
You can uninstall the app at any time to remove all local data

7. Children’s Privacy

Clavis does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. We encourage parental supervision when younger users are recording video.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app. Any updates will be posted here with a new effective date. Because the app is fully offline, you will not receive push notifications about changes.
